Very nice but its to much expensive and its an update improved of their previous application called " Torah for Ipad " which was also very expensive, so we pay 2 times a similar product !!

I love this app. It is efficient, effective and easy to use. Support from Rusty Brick when I had an issue was immediate and resolved my issues quickly. This is a great app that I would recommend to anyone Leyning Torah at any time.
This is a very beautiful app, and the typography is quite nice. But for a useful tikun it is missing a key feature - the text should highlight the word or syllable being sung, and the pages should scroll along with the singer.
Great job. Perfect for practicing anywhere and at anytime.
Just downloaded the new update and could not wait to buy the in-app purchase for the audio! Until I saw that you didnt have al the parshas, and that you had to buy each separately for $4.99 each?! We paid you guys $20 dollars for an app the we could practice our laining, I bought this app thinking that audio came with it. I also noticed that you only have one nussach: askenaz. If you guys can maybe make all the parshas and haftaras into one big in-app purchase I would easily pay another $20-$30 dollars for it. What you guys are doing is great, but dont do it just for the money. P.S. I have bought all you apps exept for Jewish cal (which Im thinking of buying) and have not been disappointed, please dont change that.
There is no Eidot Hamizrach alining and no ktav (lettering) for sefaradim. Because their siddur had this I thought this would to. This is the first Rusty Brick program I have that I am disappointed with. I hope they come out with Edot Hamizrach laining soon.
A beautiful Tikun with excellent features including convenient bookmarking, ability to record yourself for later review, and now the ability to hear any Parsha of interest read by an expert ($5/Parsha). Also has a very intuitive interface that works even better than expected. Great study tool for a Bar Mitvah boy or anyone trying to master a Parsha or Haftora.
A wonderful learning tool, whether seeing Torah- and print-text side by side (in landscape) or instant switching (in portrait) is a huge help, as is the ability to hear as well as record. I had an almost other-worldly positive experience with support that for the sake of Rusty Brick employees I hope was not typical. I had a problem with a parshah download, and sent an e-mail about it at 10:15 on a Sunday night. I had initial reply and promise to address it, literally within two minutes. By noon of the following day, the problem had been confirmed, follow-up was made with the Baal Koreh, and the repaired version was uploaded to the Apple Store. This result from a support call could mean either that they are unbelievably responsive or hardly ever get calls and can thus drop everything to deal with the random complaint. Either way, its great for the consumer. A suggestion for a future update - provide controls for fast-forward and back and for partial repetition within an Aliyah, rather than having to play the whole thing. That would be a real help to us novices who move slowly through the text and need a lot of repetition.
This says the whole Torah audio is available, which is why we purchased it. Turns out that Shekalim, the one we were interested in, is not available, among many others.
I just started learning to read from the Torah this year (not counting my bar mitzvah many years ago) and this has been an amazing help. The technology really comes through and it makes switching back and forth between the actual Hebrew and the trope + vowels incredibly easy. Some may balk at the price, but it is an amazing bargain n o matter how you look at it. First off, it is excellent software. Second, it is a fraction of the price you would pay for a paper tikkun. I mostly use the iPad version, but it includes an iPhone one as well, which is nice when I want to sneak in some practice when I dont have the iPad with me. Its small on the iPhone, but usable.
As a Baal koreh and a busy business owner I have found it hard to find time to prepare the kriah every week. I will some times prepare some of the kriah during slow times at the office. This tikun is easy to navigate and easy to read. I bought the full version. The price is cheaper then even a basic printed version. I highly recommend this tikun. I primarily use the iPad version.
I love this app. Especially like the toggle feature (toggles instantly between chumash and torah sides), great for polishing up a leining at the final stages.
I just emailed a recording I made right from within the app for my bar mitzvah student! It was an easy and seamless process. Thanks for this clean and beautiful app!
Great app. Am using it to prep my son for his bar mitzvah and for me to brush up and learn new stuff. Author is very receptive to bug fixes and feature requests.
Excellent app especially on the iPad. Great for practicing anywhere. Ability to record and playback very useful. As another reviewer mentioned already, a brand new tikkun (in super clear typeset) costs at least $25+ at any seforim store. You get the tikkun and ability to record and create bookmarks, make this a wonderful high tech sefer no Baal Koreh or bar mitzvah boy should be without.
Update: the devs listened and added קמץ קטן! As a tikun, it now has everything I need. My one suggestion is that a multifinger gesture to switch between the Torah side and "cheating" side would be nice. Heck, since this is digital now, why not do some cool, out-of-the-box stuff. How about a tap-and-hold interaction that would reveal a magnifying glass to peek at a specific word. Or maybe a way to turn off the trope and vowel layers separately. Or a way to repaginate/re-lineify/re-columnerize it as a way to test myself in case the actual Sefer Torah happens to be different. Also, since the iPhone is so much smaller (especially the non-retina 3GS), landscape mode should have a way to not show side-by-side. Again, a two-finger swipe to toggle views would work. Just some random thoughts. :) But seriously, this is a great app. -------------------- Previous review: I just downloaded this, and so far it seems great. I really appreciate that it indicts שוא נע. My only complaint so far is that it doesnt also indicate קמץ קטן. But this will still be great for going over my leyning during my commute!
Great app! Easy to use and suitable for all ages. For the same price of a bulky old school tikkun you can have an app that brings the reading to life. Reliable and helpful with tools to prep for a bar mitzvah or weekly use for a veteran Baal Korei. If u need it buy it! Another great job by Rusty Brick.
A wonderful app which I use frequently.
App is great, but really needs a fast way to turn the taamim on and off. I think that a double-tap in the text would be a great fast way to go back and forth.
I was initially hesitant to buy a second Tikkun program for my iPad because it was so expensive. But the other one didnt really look like the scroll. I bought this yesterday to work on Ekev. I am really pleased with it. It looks reasonable like the scroll and if I turn my iPad vertically I can see just one version and switch back and forth with the trop and nekudot. I dont need the audio files. I like that you can make it bigger if you need to. My actual Tikkun is very heavy and hard for me to hold to practice with. This is so much easier. Especially with the apparent demise of the Tikkun on the ScrollScraper site (which also printed the nekudot often unclearly), I needed something I could have with me. So I recommend it. Yasher koach! If there were a way to make it change the line endings randomly when you open it each time (so you dont get too dependent on the layout) it would be perfect, but that is a lot to ask.
